The Stollen: A Delicious Christmas Tradition
Inspired by an ancient German recipe, Stollen is a soft bread filled with candied fruit, almonds, and marzipan, generously brushed with butter and dusted with powdered sugar.
First created in the 15th century at the court of Saxony, it gradually became a festive treat loved around the world.
A Christmas classic with a rich, melt-in-your-mouth, authentic flavour, perfect to enjoy with coffee or tea during the holiday season.
The Stollen – Christmas Cake with Marzipan and Candied Fruit
This Stollen is the result of a collaboration between Viva Panettone and Bakers Workshop, a nod to Germany’s festive tradition: a soft cake filled with candied fruit and marzipan, symbolizing generosity and togetherness.
Ingredients:
Flour (wheat), Butter (milk), Raisins, Water, Almond paste (almonds (55%), sugar, water), Almonds, Sugars (granulated sugar, glucose), Homemade candied oranges, Homemade candied lemon, Rum, Salt, Enzymes, Whole milk powder, Yeast.
May contain: Mustard seeds, Soy, Tree nuts (hazelnuts, pistachios, pecans).
As for all our panettones, the ingredients for Stollen have been meticulously chosen.
Conservation
Our stollen can be kept for several weeks at room temperature, even after opening.
Be sure to keep your panettone in his original packaging bag well closed in order to enjoy his softness and flavors longer.
